Film Description

Drawing on the real lives of incarcerated men, this film explores committing to the power of the arts when all other avenues for creativity are denied. This is a performers film with many having been jailed in the past. Director Greg Kwedar lets his lens follow the interactions, sometimes lingering just long enough to see transformation in the faces and eyes of the theatre group as the words “We’re here to be human again” are spoken.
