THE MIDDLE MAN is a social satire combining Canadian deadpan humour with a deft Norwegian eye for darkness. A small provincial town is experiencing an epidemic of unusual and perhaps bizarre accidents and deaths. The town is run by “The Commission” comprising the Sheriff, the Doctor and the Pastor. Rather than trying to prevent the frequent fatalities they decide to hire a ‘Middle Man’ whose sole responsibility will be to inform the family when an unfortunate incident occurs. Frank Farrelli is a quiet, thoughtful man who proves perfect for the job.
