Film Description

Based on the book Out Standing in the Field by Captain Sandra Perron, a riveting performance by Nina Kiri reveals the costs of being a pioneer. As Canada’s first female infantry officer, Perron’s peacekeeping role in 1995’s Croatia tested her limits of loyalty, sacrifice, courage and resilience. Upon returning to Canada, her abrupt resignation launched a relentless and revelatory military investigation. OUT STANDING won the Feature Film Audience Choice Award at this year’s Sudbury Cinefest.

Ms. Nina Kiri will be QFA’s guest at the both screenings.
