I’M STILL HERE

In the early 1970s Brazil’s dictatorship reshaped the country through individual detentions and disappearances. One of them was Rubens Paiva. His wife, Eunice, embarked on a prolonged and harrowing crusade to gain his release while preserving a normal life for her family. The film has been showered with awards since the premiere last September at the Venice Film Festival. Star Fernanda Torres was nominated for Lead Actress and the film won BEST INTERNATIONAL FEATURE FILM at the 2025 Academy Awards.
