Winner of this year’s Best Motion Picture at the Canadian Screen Awards, this film thrusts us into the lives of three families living in poverty.  This Toronto suburb is one of the most culturally diverse in Canada. The story, from the book by Catherine Hernandez, illustrates the struggle to endure in an uncaring system. But those diverse communities employ love and determination to overcome their circumstances.
